A WOMAN'S EYES is the story of an ordinary Australian woman's life set against the events of the twentieth century. It is a unique music theatre piece written for two female performers and a piano quintet and visually uses a series of distinctive Australian paintings as the 'backdrop' to the performance.
A WOMAN'S EYES is adapted from a series of letters and diary entries of the late Peg Kentwell (1899 - 1994), an ordinary Australian woman whose life was anything but 'ordinary'.
A childhood in the Australian bush, a young woman growing up in a country town, love set against the backdrop of the First World War, marriage and life through The Great Depression, sending a son to World War II.
It was a life that witnessed the extraordinary changes and events of the twentieth century.
Performed in One Act.
A story of love, grief and courage, A WOMAN'S EYES is a journey of the heart!
