“BIM BOM” is a universal story set against the epic landscape of Russia on the eve of Revolution. It is the struggle for one’s beliefs and to have the single voice heard against the roar of the crowd.
In Russia in the early 20th Century, BIM BOM was a famous Russian Circus Clown, a star of the Circus and known for his political satire.
The voice of the clown spoke out against the political giants in the final chaotic days of the Romanovs and during the ensuing rise of the Bolsheviks.
In 1918 the secret police, The Cheka, tried to arrest him during a performance. BIM BOM was shot in the back as he tried to leave the stage. The audience at first thought it was all part of the act. He was ‘executed’ by the Bolsheviks.
The story and the epic landscape of Russia is brought into the circus ring and satirized through the eyes of the clowns. Comedy, romance and tragedy live side by side as the world of Tzar Nicholas, Alexandra and Rasputin collides with the rise of the Bolsheviks. The world is thrown into chaos. It is viewed through the eyes of a man as he tries to keep his family, his beliefs and the Russia that he loves, in tact.
BIM BOM is a story of courage and the survival of ideals against great odds. A single life can contribute to the epic events of the world.
